Leniency Missing - May 1

My day started off well. I woke up early and did a lot of writing before most of the neighbors were awake, then got busy with my work.

I went out late in the afternoon to drop off the rent payment and check the mail. Then I came back and watched the news. I witnessed something on it that really bothered me; a self-righteous privileged bitch.

And if there is one type person I detest, it's the self-righteous privileged bitch, a designation not limited to females.

The latest one I came across happens to be female. She chose to comment that no leniency should be given to people who are in the USA illegally by virtue of having overstayed visas, even if they have children who are American citizens by birth.

She thinks it's just fine to deport the parents and leave the children in the USA.

As she so eloquently bleated, no one suggests leniency for "other criminals" just because they have children.

I hope someday when she needs a little leniency (and she will; we all do at one point or another), someone far kinder than she is will be around to deliver it.

Meantime, there are parents and children who could use our prayers and good thoughts.
