January 2005 Entries Links Communication |
Thursday, I Think - January 20 Now would perhaps be a fine time to remind you that the main page for "Becky Says..." does not live at diaryland. It is here. Whenever the diaryland site is inaccessible, the entries are posted on the domain site, and I do my best to make sure the "current entry" link indeed points to the most current entry. To be among the first to know, sign up for notify messages. Of course, if you've just read that paragraph, you probably already knew its details, since you knew to come here. (Hello, choir! Hope you enjoyed the sermon!) The server move at diaryland is continuing as I write. * * * * * * * * * * * This part of North Carolina is getting more snow. This time, we're supposed to get a bit less than yesterday, but if we learned anything from that little event, it's that staying off the roads may be a very good idea. Toward that end, and knowing worse weather is called for over the weekend, I did my weekend errands today before I went to work. It was a little odd doing that much shopping on a Thursday, but I'm glad I did it. Even if it turns out that the predicted frozen stuff doesn't come I'm sure I'll be able to find good ways to spend the time. Part of the oddness factor is that I don't usually go out before work with the intention of coming right back home. Today, it just worked out to be easier to come home and bring the bags into the kitchen. I didn't do a thorough job of putting the purchases away at the time, but the things that needed refrigeration did get where they needed to go. And having the purchases already in the kitchen was one less thing to worry about when I was tired at the end of the workday. And I was tired. Today was catch-up day, and work-ahead day, along with Thursday day. Anytime you cram three days into one time slot, it's tiring! I was glad that I didn't have anything that just utterly had to be done tonight. Except put away the rest of the groceries, but that was not bad at all. Oh, and remember to eat. It would have been a pity to skip that, what with a house newly full of food. Text © copyright 2000-2005 Becky |
