From Hurricane Isabel's Visit

This picture was taken around lunchtime on September 18, 2003, as I was heading toward work. This is the intersection of Franklin Street and Erwin Road, for those familiar with Chapel Hill, and is looking eastward.

I'm not sure exactly why it is this shot captivates me. But it does. A smaller version of it was used in that day's journal entry.
